Sixty years later, few designers from Touring Superleggera decided to revive Disco Volante as one of the best concepts ever. After first few drawings, the team from Alfa Romeo joined in, and in cooperation with Touring Superleggera created a beautiful concept which they presented in Geneva couple of years ago.

Equipped with a front-central engine of 4.7 L of displacement, it delivers 450 PS (331 kW; 444 hp) and 480 N·m of torque. The Disco Volante is rear wheel drive with sequential six-speed gearbox.

Only seven will be made. The Disco Volante Spyder is the roadster version of the coupe, and it is the coachbuilder's first open top car in recent history. To celebrate its 90th anniversary, Touring is working with Alfa Romeo engineers to create this car, inspired by the 1952 Alfa Romeo C52 .

While the company had just taken the 1951 Formula 1 World Championship, post-War cash shortages within the firm led to its withdrawal from the competition, with the 1900 Berlina road car deemed to be of higher importance.
